The African Violet Society of San Francisco (SFAVS) has been bringing together violet lovers from across the Bay Area since 1953. We are a proud affiliate of the African Violet Society of America (AVSA) African Violet Society of America and part of its Region 10 network of California clubs.
Our society is dedicated to the culture, propagation, and appreciation of African violets, and to the fellowship of violet enthusiasts. We also serve as an educational organization, disseminating information about African violets to the broader public. Sfviolets
We meet on the 4th Saturday of every month (except December) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Garden Room of the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park, 1199 9th Ave., San Francisco. African Violet Society of America Visitors are always welcome — no experience necessary!
Whether you're a seasoned grower or just received your first violet, SFAVS offers monthly meetings, access to new cultivars, expert growing advice, plant sales, and a warm community that shares your enthusiasm. Bring a problem plant, ask a question, or simply come to admire some of the most beautiful flowering houseplants in the world.
